HK Prize is one of the premier high school contests, rewarding academic achievements, extracurricular participation and leadership abilities. Students must be nominated by their teachers in order to enter; winners will receive cash prizes as well as opportunities to conduct scientific research at Hong Kong’s premier facilities. This year’s theme, “Our Changing World”, encourages artists to examine the social, cultural, environmental, and technological facets of global change through art. Of the 102 shortlisted works that were selected for jury review ranging from gender/sexuality explorations to migration migration themes; judges will award judges’ prizes of HK$8,000 while teacher prizes of HK$20 will also be distributed as awards to winners.
